The so-called wearables have an enormous future ahead of them. In the first place, because they impose great requirements for miniaturization of components, power and battery consumption, and the industry is interested in torturing these specifications of the components to be able to apply them to other areas, which has made wearables become the authentic technological spearhead in many aspects.

Second, because the possible applications that can be derived from the devices we carry are practically unlimited, and some of them, with an important projection of demand. Areas such as preventive health or sports are already being explored quite satisfactorily, but there are undoubtedly many other aspects to be developed, and numerous entrepreneurs and consolidated consumer electronics companies waiting for improvements in the performance of the components and the batteries to launch new products.

Third, because the marketing of this type of product is about to move to its next level, and everything indicates that it will provide a very strong projection: competitions like the NBA are about to authorize the use of wearables no longer in training, but during official competitions. Imagine environments in which wearables worn by players are used by coaches to monitor their levels of fatigue, concentration, nerves, etc. or even to communicate with them ... what has been the best selling and most profitable product in relation to sport in all history? The Nike Air Jordan. Are we ready to see millions of users looking to acquire wearable Which are Russell Westbrook, Kevin Durant, Stephen Curry or Marc Gasol?

And fourth, because evolution is as clear as "we will connect everything that can be connected", and wearables , since we carry them on and in many ways, "connect us", are one of the most important parts of that internet of the things you are defining.

Without a doubt, I think we're going to end up implementing it in some way. Of course not as we are presented in some fashion shows, where it seems that the models are disguised.

But definitely it will be present in accessories such as watches, handbags, glasses, etc. That is, the trend of wearables I think will continue to rise.

Although we will limit it to certain sectors. One of them that I see a clear future is the sport. In fact, we are already using smartbands to calculate our caloric expenditure, control pulsations and monitor routines.

The future of this technology will go through specialization by areas and sectors such as design, art and culture.

Technology is developed in all sectors, and clothing is not excluded from innovations. Modern companies already develop intelligent devices for accessories such as lenses (the Google Glass), watches (the famous SmartWatch) and the clothes themselves.

Countries like Japan and China are up to date in the development of materials that prevent the filtration of water, or sensors capable of holding the heart rate.

One of the latest innovations shows materials capable of changing color followed by the respective programming of a computer system. Even with the study of metamaterials in physics, components capable of diverting light causing an invisibility effect, no one waits until the technological advances can arrive.
